Faris was then a Scout at Issaquah Washington, Village Theatre in a production To Kill a Mockingbird, and played title character in Heidi and Rebecca in Our Town. When she was a student at Edmonds-Woodway High College, Faris appeared in a frozen-yogurt TV commercial.
